Star Island - Carl Hiaasen

One Sentence Summary:
hilarious story of mistaken identity, when a body-double is mistaken for the drug-addicted party-girl pop-star she protects.

Review:
The characters in this are ridiculous, the plot ludicrous and the setting South Beach Florida. The humor is typical of Carl Hiaasen, perfect beach reading, or rainy afternoon cheer-me-up. The quality of writing (especially dialogue) falls a bit below Hiaasen's normal standard but still worth reading if you like funny. With just the right amount of action and romance the novel is well crafted and moves along at a rather fast pace.
