Review
I wanted to like this book more than I actually liked it. It was a good story, well written, wonderful supporting characters and I really liked the style of writing about an author in the third person that Berg used. That said, the book sounds awesome right??... Well you would be right, mostly, assuming you can tolerate a main character who is so indecisive nearly half of the book is her attempting to make decisions. In fact if not for her imagination and the way Berg threads the fictional writers writing through her own story I probably would have given this book whatever score it is that tells you to only read it if you are stuck in a cabin with it and nothing else, but instead you get the read it if you like this genre already. I would stick this on a shelve called "books that would be better if the protagonist was more likeable". I recommend this to writers and readers who can overlook annoyances for moments of beauty and brilliance.
