review:
A heart wrenching look at mental illness and the dysfunction of family. This is a horrible story that is really well written. The detail is so well flushed out that occasionally you will wish Lamb wasn't such a good writer. Despite all the awfulness the characters go through and commit you do care for each of them in their own right but you also hate them all. The story is horrible but the ending almost makes up for it, do not give up part way through (though be warned you may want to). I recommend this to anyone who is not easily disturbed/upset.
