I really enjoy Gregory's style, her focus on the females behind the men that history regards and reviles is a very interesting perspective to take. I enjoy the way she treats the historical facts with a nice coating of personality and possibility. She takes known events and weaves her stories around them in a delightfully imaginative way creating a world that grabs you and you don't want to leave. Weeks after reading The Lady of The Rivers my mind kept wandering back to it, the story has staying power that is for sure. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys historical fiction or strong female characters.
